Privacy Policy

Wagen Task is a restaurant operations app (web and Android) used by restaurant owners, managers and staff in India for attendance, shifts, leave, tasks, checklists, food-safety logs, equipment, expenses and approvals. Your employer (the restaurant) creates your account and controls the data in it; we process it on their behalf.

Account details: name, mobile number, email (optional), role, outlet and department.

Attendance and location: when you punch in or out, we record the time and your device's GPS location to verify you are at the outlet. Location is collected only at the moment you punch, not in the background.

Photos: if your employer's checklists or tasks ask for photo proof, or you attach a bill or receipt, the photo you take or choose is uploaded. The camera is used only when you open it.

Work records: tasks, checklist answers, temperature readings, leave and correction requests, advances, expenses, and approvals.

Employee details entered by your employer or HR: bank details, ID numbers, emergency contacts, pay type and salary. Salaries are visible only to people your employer has granted access.

Device information: a push-notification token and basic app/device details, used to deliver reminders and keep the app working.

To run the app for your employer: marking attendance, scheduling shifts, routing approvals, calculating leave and pay-related records, and producing reports.

To send reminders and alerts by push notification, SMS (one-time login codes) and WhatsApp (for example task reminders and daily reports).

To keep the service secure, prevent misuse and fix problems.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Your employer and the managers and owners they authorise inside the app.

Service providers that help us run the app: hosting, Google Firebase (push notifications), an SMS provider for login codes, and WhatsApp messaging providers. They only receive what is needed for their function.

Authorities, where required by law.

Data is sent over HTTPS and stored on servers we control. Access is limited by role and every sensitive action is logged.

We keep data while your employer's account is active. You can ask for your account or data to be deleted by contacting your employer or by emailing support@wagenai.com (see /delete-account). Records your employer must keep by law (such as attendance and payroll) may be retained for the legally required period.

You can deny location, camera or notification permission in your phone's settings; some features (such as location-verified punch-in) will then not work.

You can ask to see or correct your data through your employer or by contacting us.

The app is meant for working adults and is not directed at children under 18.

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for significant changes, notify users in the app.
